Function
General tasks:
- Leading (Ocean) sales activities (inside/outside)
- Acquire new business (for various European trade lanes)
- Business Development in close contact with Product Managers
- Telephone sales & personal visits
- For assigned accounts responsible for: Revenue, Profit Level, Business Development
- Follow up sales leads
- Support local and/or European Bid Team on tenders
- Sales Administration & reports
- Client liason, quote preparation and establish offers
- Regional Market Surveillance
- Taking part in consignee selling activities in cooperation with bilateral partners
- To maintain contact with operational department
Education level:
MBO+/HBO or equal
Job Requirements:
- Good knowledge of Ocean and Freight forwarding in general
- Substantial experience in European Groupage
- Minimum 3-5 years Sales and Marketing Experience (emphasis on Ocean)
- Broad knowledge of MS-office products
- Comprehensive knowledge of Benelux market
- Knowledge of other country markets is considered as a benefit
- Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English language (and preferably German)
- Strong ambitious and client focused appearence
- Quick in grasping new techniques, procedures, ideas etc.
- Excellent communication skills
- Self starter with a good business sense, setting the right priorities
- Creative and proactive approach towards challenges
- Flexible, enthusiastic, good performer, service minded and a team player
- Highly motivated, flexible, perseverant, proactive and punctual
